Terms of Use

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of the Stranded app and website ("Stranded", "we", "us"). By using Stranded, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use Stranded.

1. What Stranded is

Stranded uses AI to analyze photos of your hair and give cosmetic, informational guidance — a hair‑type reading, a condition score, product and styling suggestions, a wash schedule, and a routine.

Not medical advice. Stranded reads a photo. It is not a medical device and does not provide a diagnosis. It cannot see your scalp under your hair, your bloodwork, or your health history. Ongoing hair loss, bald patches, a painful or irritated scalp, or any health concern should be evaluated by a qualified dermatologist or physician. Do not rely on Stranded for medical decisions.

2. Accounts

You are responsible for your account and for keeping your login secure. You must provide accurate information and be old enough to use the app in your jurisdiction (at least 13, or 16 where applicable).

3. Subscriptions & billing

Full access to Stranded ("Stranded Pro") is offered as an auto‑renewable subscription.

On iOS: payment is charged to your Apple ID at confirmation of purchase. The subscription automatically renews for the same period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Manage or cancel anytime in your device Settings → your name → Subscriptions.
On the web: payment is processed by Stripe. The subscription renews automatically until you cancel, which you can do anytime in the app.
Pricing: $9.99 per month or $39.99 per year, or the price shown to you at the time of purchase. Prices may vary by region and may change; any change applies to future billing periods.
Except where required by law, payments are non‑refundable. App Store purchases are subject to Apple's refund policies.

4. Acceptable use

Don't misuse Stranded. In particular, do not attempt to disrupt or reverse‑engineer the service, upload unlawful content, or use it to violate anyone's rights.

5. Your content & our content

Your photos and survey answers remain yours. You grant us a limited license to process them solely to provide your reading and the features of the app. The Stranded app, its design, and its generated guidance format are owned by us and protected by law.

6. Disclaimers

Stranded is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose. We do not warrant that the guidance will be accurate for every person or that the service will be uninterrupted or error‑free.

7. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Stranded and its providers will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for any loss arising from your use of, or reliance on, the app. Our total liability for any claim will not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

8. Termination

You may stop using Stranded and delete your account at any time (Profile → Delete account). We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms.

9. Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will revise the "Last updated" date above. Continued use after changes means you accept them.
